How to make an easel card

Step 1: Take a folded in half card, measure half of the front panel, then using an embossing board, score the centre of the panel using a ball tool.

Step 2: Crease the score line then stand card in this position.

Step 3: Choose a matching set of papers and embellishments, cut each piece to size, usually leaving a 1/4″ or 2 mm around each piece of paper or what suits you best for each project.

Step 4: Start to glue pieces of paper in place.

Step 5: Now glue your chosen topper in place. I find it easier to glitter the topper and snow flake before hand. You only need glue on the bottom half of the topper up to the creased fold of the card. Now cut an approximate 3″ x 1 1/2″ piece of matching card then cut a slightly larger piece of card ( in this case ) red or gold to match the topper, glue the 2 pieces of card together, attach a foam pad to the reverse of the stopper and place it in front of the topper to keep it standing up. You can place a piece of ribbon or bow of your choice anywhere on your card, I have placed a strip of red Happy Christmas ribbon across the top of the stopper.

This chosen red paper would also work with this topper, any papers with the topper colours would work, i.e. reds and golds etc.
